I would live a thousand lives if I could Explore and eat and dream and die, yeah I would Become a postman or a priest or skydive A dungeonmaster or mix drinks, can't decide But I am glad That, with everything I could have had, I'm living this one with you Could be on a southern farm, rolling Singing, dancing in tap shoes on Broadway I could have piles of money and by "piles" I mean Numbers and commas projected on screens But if I couldn't see you I'd give it all up-- and that's true Ideally though... I'd like the money too Coulda been a marine... biologist Could be on stage declaring aliens exist So many opportunities that I have missed But this one's good enough for me, I insist But again, I'd like to mention That if there's a parallel dimension Where I'm loaded with cash and I still know you-oo-oo Well that life could be good enough for me too And without, I'd be the saddest Even with my billionaire status So if theres a way to do both Let's do that EEUHEHSGHGH!

Nerf Ranger 03:32
I'm a Nerf Ranger, certified See my shiny badge and kickass ride Licensed to dart you if you run My goggles shield me from the sun I'm a problem solver with my foam-bullet revolver And my trusty hound will bound on down here if I call her I'm a Nerf Ranger, protector of the yard And I'm trying really, really hard To keep coyotes and enemies at bay Until bedtime comes and ends the day Ahhh ahhh, ahhh ahhh As a Nerf Ranger, I keep these streets clean My piece is orange and neon green I hit a squirrel once... at least, I think I did Why do you expect so much from a little kid? I'm a problem solver with my foam-bullet revolver And my trusty hound will bound on down here if I call her I'm a Nerf Ranger, protector of the yard And I'm trying really, really hard To keep coyotes and enemies at bay Until bedtime comes and ends the day Ahhh ahhh, ahhh ahhh (Solo) I'm a problem solver with my foam-bullet revolver And my trusty hound will bound on down here if I call her I'm a Nerf Ranger, protector of the yard And I'm trying really, really hard To keep coyotes and enemies at bay Until bedtime comes and ends the day Ahhh ahhh, ahhh ahhh Call me Ranger, if there's danger

Rubik's Cube 03:38
Sandra got her colors mixed Now she need that easy fix And I wish I wasn't there to see her Her slow descent could not be clearer Maybe soon she'll give herself a twist Can’t seem to escape he place she’s from Her friends have all left her one by one And the only ones that light her candle Are the rich kids from Orlando But they have her around just to make fun She might be entertaining, but she doesn’t mean to She never really finds herself complete Sees herself as but a puzzle piece What would the small town be without her Selling college students powder She likes to be around the body heat She’s not a square, she likes long walks at dark Meets her boyfriend in the closed off park Out in nature, they get flirty Under bridges, chugging forties And he pretends to like her jewelry art The times are never changing But she doesn’t want them to Up the highway she stares What things could be out there Just one step could change life Widen her eyes— But why would she want to?!? At night she has the same recurring dream In the bed she’s had since seventeen But in the morning she’s forgot it Blinks her eyes and shakes it off and Combs the fridge for leftover Chinese But then she remembers She ordered this week’s ago (Small town Rubik’s cube, she trades all her drugs for food!)

OKJ-II 02:21
We all though he was dead Now he's back with a vengeance Others out to avenge him With one last strike The rabid king with his mad thinking A sad being fattening all alone In the night Here it goes again the parade Marching across the town Here it goes again, I'm afraid The sky is falling down Old King John Old King John Where he was bumbling before Now he's seething and spitting A promise he's never quitting A promise unfulfilled He used to be a real bore Now he's 'come a real danger Pitting stranger 'gainst stranger Watching blood get spilled Look at the plastic, gold spray-painted throne The scared, withered prune of a man High in the clouds where he can be all alone And pretend he's reclaimed the land Old King John (I'm back, baby! Hah!) Old King John (Whoa-oh-oh!) Old King John (It's the second time around!) Old King John (Risen up from the ground!) But now he lifts his rootlike feet from the sand Revealing the whole man Marching out, leading the blind and And... Old King John (Yeah, good luck gettin' rid of me this time) Old King John (Whoa-oh-oh) Old King John (Did ya hear what I said?) Old King John AND NOW THE KING IS DEAD

Peak 04:05
Speeding through the trees, there’s room for you and me Until we get to the edge I can not understand, my mind can’t comprehend What must be going through your head The sky’s a cobalt blue, moonlit starlit through and through Our shadows in embrace on the ground I can’t stop this feelin’, when you are so appealin’ I see your face when I look all around Cinthia I’m helpless before your eyes I wish I could look Into ya I’m feeling paralyzed, Why’m I nervous Let’s explore I would get lost without you Let’s do more It’s your turn, I anxiously accuse Whisper in my ear, what is your deepest fear Tell me your secrets and I’ll tell you mine Let’s stay up all night long, until the crack of dawn When I’m with you, I lose my concept of time One week we’ll reconvene, In this place so serene Have a living, breathing moment alone Amidst the forest, dear, the leaves are all you hear As we wander towards the seemingly unknown Valencia Thank you for the advice to live my best life I have to mention ya For being my spirit guide You were there Helped me confront my fears, made it so clear Taking care I’d never have made it here

My friend See you at the next island Where it all ends That’s where I am See you At cloud 2 Hope to Find something new Will this next place really be different? I’m too afraid to ask any questions Too scared to try to listen I’m too afraid, too afraid, too scared now I’m so scared Follow Through the window Where it’s hollow You know I’ll go What will I find at this next little hideout? I wanna know before I decide to ride out Before I leave, I reach to turn the light out I’m in the dark, why’s it dark, why’s it dark out? I’m so scared

Canyon 03:38
Get off your horse, we're camping I'll forge a fire between these rocks These pillars I won't forget Godly silhouettes on the sunset This (s)unkissed we're stamping Place ear to dust and hear who knocks Mauve-shaded, it looks painted on A landscape that's waited far too long I'll build the tent, you'll marvel At how balls of gas could be so artful And so sweet I'd fall forward through the canyon at your feet There's a monsoon from high-noon to sundown Full-moon fear in the town here left it rundown Take shelter with me in this cave There's no telling what will dig your grave Out here, we're safe from evil stares Our life we've flown from and no more scares New lives for us out West Do right and try our best I'll build the home, you'll make it Fill it with your soul so they can't take it You're so sweet I'd fall forward through the canyon at your feet

O, Angel 01:46
O, Angel who falleth from the sky Who, among men, looks most outstanding How gracefully you glide on by But still your realm of Heaven is expanding Billowy black smoke framing the sunrise But still, there's pain in your eyes Forced on your heels to walk these endless miles To experience how it feels to face the painted-on smiles We all like to think you're oblivious But of course you know 'Cause you're not an idiot And some day, you'll make your escape But until then... You will be and Angel who falleth from the sky Who, among men, looks most outstanding How gracefully you still glide on by And we'll pretend your realm of heaven is expanding O, Angel you come from the sky above And your image gets me high on love I said Angel we cherish you so And we will never let you go

Television Man if I took you apart Would I find a pile of wires and a big copper heart Tell me-- What turns you on when nobody's around? Is it in the little dumpster hidden throughout the town? You gotta find the power to make your own way But I don't think you'll get that from three AA's So plug in and pluck on And it won't take too long As long as you can hear my song You're unsettled And you're metal Though your face for now is dark, I think your head'll Start to glow up bright But you gotta grow up right And keep looking 'til you find the spark Television Man tell me-- What do you dream? Is it nothing but snowstorms, cold and serene? So sad you can't find a connection without an adapter How can you fast forward to the very next chapter? Television Man I hear you hum at night And your tubes, how they glow and flicker like firelight So breathe deep and dream on And it won't take too long As long as you can hear my song You're unsettled And you're metal Though your face for now is dark, I think your head'll Start to glow up bright But you gotta grow up right And keep looking 'til you find the spark Don't get your wires crossed Don't press your on and off Programmed to know your cost Vacuums keep your parts soft You're unsettled And you're metal Though your face for now is dark, I think your head'll Start to glow up bright But you gotta grow up right And keep looking 'til you find the spark Yeah keep looking 'til you find the spark Just keep looking 'til you find the spark

I like spending my time with you, my friend I hope this day will never end I'll walk with you across the bridge and back again Your turn, you choose our next destination Night falls, rain falls, everything is falling it ain't stopping us at all You're bright, I'm tall... And there's our problems solved Gray clouds above, when I get pigeons when I wanted doves You laugh, I love... We fit like two peas in a glove Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh When we're too shy to say what's on our mind We stare at the sky, there's no telling what we might find Conste-llations, cosmic vacations Constant elation, caused by creation Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Picnics at the park, we'll stay 'till after dark Like kids we'll play with the leaves and the tree bark And I wish that time would just suspend 'Cause I hope this day will never end Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh-ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Yeah I hope this day will never end

about

Mess No More as a whole could be described as a gritty DIY baroque pop psychedelic-garage folk-rock album with improvised character voicemails, carefully scored philosophy debates, and Western-themed radio drama parodies.

Full album number two was recorded and conceived almost completely in New York and mostly in Brooklyn, with the exception of A Thousand Lives (which was written on a plane) and Peak (half of which is 4 years old). There's no way this album could have been recorded without the help of many beautiful and loving friends, my inspirational girlfriend, plenty of ramen, and the occasional rum and coke.
